In 2022 Lez See the World officially expanded to include a production company. Steph and Katie are passionate about telling queer stories through film, and are excited to now be producing their first large-scale projects. The first season of their locally reflective documentary series titled Queer Vancouver: The Past, Present, and Future, was released on TELUS Optik™ TV On Demand and featured in The Georgia Straight and on CTV. Lez See The World was also awarded funding for a second season, and Queer Vancouver: Artists, Athletes, and Activists, will premiere in summer 2023.

SYNOPSIS
Queer Vancouver: The Past, Present, and Future, follows lesbian couple Steph and Katie Burlton as they explore their local queer community. Through a series of interviews, they introduce a diverse group of activists, artists, and performers, focusing on the lives of queer women and other marginalized members of Vancouver’s queer community. Steph and Katie meet some of the trailblazers who created lasting change over the past 50 years, as well as the next generation of queer community leaders who are doing important work in the city today. The documentary series celebrates the vibrant queer community in Vancouver, while discovering its history and imagining its future.
